Right on Time, the West Starts to Forsake Israel

In September 2025, Britain, France, Canada and Australia, among other western nations,
formally recognised Palestine as a state at the United Nations,
provoking condemnation from Israel and the United States.
In the same month, the high profile conservative influencer,
Charlie Kirk, was assassinated, with a near consensus of
"America first" bloggers and
commentators instantly pinning the blame on Israel, without explaining why Israel would want to remove a darling of the right in the US just at a
time when it needed as many friends and as much sympathy for its cause as possible.
While these two developments may appear unrelated, it is my suspicion that they both form part of a co-ordinated plan to decouple from Israel,
initiated by the elites who run the West behind the facade of electoral democracy.
If that be the case, then America's formal displeasure at the recognition of Palestine at the UN was a charade and that a key strategic objective
in the current (as of May 2026)
Operation Epic Fury waged against Iran is to build a pretext for leaving Israel to
fend for itself in the very near future.
Because be in no doubt about it.
Israel is really losing friends fast amongst grassroots conservatives and many professing Christians in the West, including the US, who increasingly
see American foreign policy in the Middle East as being dictated to Washington by the Israeli government.
This perception is creating great resentment, especially at a time when most Americans are struggling to pay their energy and food bills, and
consequently have no wish to see prices inflated further all in the name of protecting and advancing the interests of a small country far removed
from the US.
All of this is exacerbated by Israel's own disregard for American popular opinion in respect of its rather brutal handling of the
Gaza situation
in the aftermath of the
October 2023 Hamas assault against Israeli citizens
near the border.
I would submit that the timing of these developments is, of course, very significant because we are close to the Gog-Magog conflict of
Ezekiel 38-39 (not the Revelation 20 event likewise named) for
reasons explained in my commentary on that passage, in which Israel must be left
isolated from its erstwhile allies and friends in accordance with Jeremiah 30:13-14 and
Ezekiel 38:13.
But these signs of the West cooling on Israel constitute just one metric pointing to the near future fulfilment of Ezekiel 38-39 (speaking from
Reformational historicist modelling); the others are covered in my verse-by-verse commentary on Ezekiel 38-39, the most notable being the fact
that the Seven Last Plagues of Revelation 15-16 must begin not long after the Lord's public witness (styled the "Two Witnesses" in
Revelation 11) is "killed" (silenced), a process well underway now with police harrassment of street preachers and social media censorship thanks to
"hate speech" laws introduced recently.
The significance of this lies in the seventh and final plague incorporating the "great hail"
(Revelation 16:21), which will be the worst war in history, being one and the same as the "fire" ensuing from the Gog-Magog assault, sent by God in
Ezekiel 39:6 to Magog (Russia) and "them that dwell
carelessly in the isles" (i.e. the liberal, atheistic cities of the West).
In other words, now that the Lord's public witness against error is
being restricted, the clock is ticking on the Seven Last Plagues, the final of which incorporate the Gog-Magog events.
In the meantime, watch as the West backtracks from Israel, both on an official level and at societal level, with even evangelicals turning against it;
likewise look out for more and more attacks on "Christian Zionism" online and consider the possibility of a near-term Russian-brokered peace deal
in the Middle East, as suggested in my commentary on Ezekiel 38:14.
